repair advice - '46 Oyster Air King

I have had my grandfather's watch since 1990 (one of these: http://watchestobuy.com/images/RolexAirKing4365s.JPG).

Since about 1991, it has needed repair (unfortunately the watch found its way into a clothes dryer (no heat), and suffered some shock damage).

If I remember correctly, when I wound it, the hands would spin very fast, so everything is still moving, but something has obviously disconnected. Also, the second hand has come loose, but is still there, and I think the crown has not threaded down properly since before I got the watch. Being older and wiser now, I don't play with it.

I have always been concerned about taking it to a local jeweler, because I cannot be certain that it will come back will all rolex parts (I have trust issues).

So my main question is this: what is my best chance of getting the watch repaired?

I am currently working in Wroclaw Poland, and will likely be here until July, and then I will return to Victoria, BC Canada...

Any help is appreciated.

Tommy!!!!!! He is great and will send you photos each step of the way if needed/wanted. Nice guy, won't touch anything you don't want him too. He is R.W.T on here and a very valuable member of these forums. I had him clean up and service my 53' 6298 about 2 years ago and he made it run within COSC spec while keeping it original. Even sourced a NOS crystal for it.

Thanks John,
You mean this Tommy (http://www.rolexforums.com/member.php?u=20853)?
If so, then it will have to wait until I am back in North America.

Also, I have to ask... the BMW logo... Bike or car?
I have a 1977 R100/7 that is awaiting restoration.

Your link doesn't seem to want to work on my phone but the fellow that started this thread:

Car, the bikes are okay I guess but I would only want an older one. I am more of an r6 kinda guy when it comes to bikes.

Tommy has my watch, and I cannot wait to see it running again.
