Elon Musk to purchase Rolex!

Amazing news - Elon Musk will purchase Rolex for 9.6 billion U.S. dollars and upgrade the company to "green" standards and become a net zero carbon company. They will begin forcing a changeover from mechanical to electrical watches powered by lithium-ion batteries similar to the ones in Tesla vehicles, only much smaller.

Now here is the kicker - the reason for electronic watches is because the Oyster Perpetual mechanism will not work in space or on other planets due to zero or reduced gravity. The first release will be called "Falcon Red" and will have a 24.617 hour clock so it will keep proper time on Mars! Other models will follow such as "Falcon Morning Star" for Venus which will have a 6,075.625 hour clock since each day on Venus is so long.

Absolutely nothing surprises me anymore. Then again, if I was able to travel to my AD and purchase new piece for my collection maybe I would not have as much time to think of silly things such as this.

What do you do while waiting for the call?

Very amusing! While waiting for the call I have been buying Omega, Breitling, and Breguet among others. I guess it leaves me with no disposable income left should the Rolex call ever come.
