This will b the fourth one I have been to. I think the biggest problem we have had was what to pick off the menu!

Speaking of which, here is the site for the Menu:

http://hillstone.com/menus/southbeve...ll%20Lunch.pdf

I have been told the Sushi is very good. I usually have the French Dip, which is very good.

It is hard not to order that French Dip, it's my go to at SBG.

Hey Guys!

I haven't been very active on this forum recently, but my buddy Frosty gave me a head's up on the M&G. I hear that you guys are into more than just watches. I'm down for attending if you'll have a TRF newbie?

There's no sign-up, Paul. Just put on your dancin' shoes and meet us at The Beverly Grill on May 20.

I'm glad you're coming.

Given that this first-ever Spring B.H. GTG is turning out to be bigger than I had anticipated — and may turn out to be our biggest bash ever — I'm going to have to get off of my backside and put some effort into the raffle. And I need a little of your help.

We have a modest start on giveaway prizes so far, but I would like to have a few more, so here's the deal: If anyone has any Rolex swag or general cool watch-related stuff that they would like to contribute, please PM me. Our guys don't come to these GTGs for the prizes, but it is a nice thing to do while downing Mimosas and talking about the next P.N. Panda that you're going to buy.

Thanks.

Just a newbie to a GTG question?
Since this may be the big, bigger, biggest GTG in the history of Beverly Hills, or the world for that matter (OK, maybe not Las Vegas), how does the restaurant know how many seats to reserve if there is no sign-up. Is it just a free for all once we hit the door?

Passin', this is a concern, but only a small one (so far). Indeed, the only downside of The South Beverly Grill is that they will not take reservations. We discussed other possible locations, and maybe we will make changes in the future, but the last time it came up, the consensus of the group was to stick with the Grill. I usually get there when they open, but if Frosty or one of our other B.H. GTG veterans gets there before me, they know which booths and tables to go for, and they usually have a word with the maitre d'. Thus far, things have worked out.

Las Vegas? They have TRF GTGs in Las Vegas? I did not know that.

I'd be up for chipping in to rent a meeting room at I'l Fornaio. Renting a meeting room at Il Fornaio in Carmel helped make our GTG event successful. It's just a thought..... I'm looking forward to the event even if we hold it at the Rodeo parking garage.

I'd be up for that if needed. Just had lunch there a couple of weeks ago. Great food! Although that $22 beefwich at the Beverly Grill somebody mentioned in a previous post also sounds good.

Another vote for the Rodeo parking garage here!

On a more serious note, I am big fan of the Grill!

Yes, they do!!!!!!
As a matter of fact, they have a new thread every week.
"4......weeks.....to go......".
"3........weeks ...... to go.......".

I am going to sign up for next year!!!!!!

"only 55..........weeks.........to go.........."

I'd be excited too if I was going this year.

But I am excited to be going to BH!!!!!!! :-)))))

Sheldon, I appreciate the suggestion. At the moment, my inclination is to let things stand as they are, and put the Change of Venue topic on our agenda for discussion on May 20.

South Beverly Grill has been a great spot for our GTGs. Great food and very close to all of the watch boutiques.

If our GTGs keep growing, we may need to think about a change of venue, but for now, I think the Grill is still an appropriate place to meet.

How about an old Sub or an old GMT, Mark?

I was thinking of you, Frosty, and your outrageously great 5512. I am trying to decide whether to wear my Sub or switch over to my GMT. Nice problem to have, eh?

I just noticed on the Las Vegas thread somebody using a Vareat product to clean their watch. Varaet is having a 40% off sale "until April 15th" but i just used the code "spring 17" and it still worked. I've never used the stuff but I thought I would give it a try for the BH GTG. wristclean.com

I guess you are over your Las Vegas withdrawals already.
It's going to be 98 in Palm Springs in 2 days. Can't imagine the temp in 3 weeks.
Have fun golfing!!!!
