Non Quick set hands vs Quick Set hands

Hi,

I purchased a lovely Day Date 18038 from HQ Milton, but I would like to replace the old Tritium hands with new Superluminova...but I was going to keep the original hands.

My question is can non quick set caliber hands fit a quick set movement?

Apologize if there is already a thread on this, but I appreciate the help.

Probably not as the hand sizes are most likely different - the good news is with a little sluething you may be able to find luminova service hands that will fit your movement. What about the dial?

Personally I would keep them on as nothing more charming than an honest old watch! As for sourcing them ask Jacek and perhaps he can steer you in right direction.

Thank you. I will give Jacek a shout.

I agree, normally I would not change anything, sadly the day I received the watch, I lost someone very close to me. I would like to change out the hands so the watch is a glowing light of the person I lost. However, I do want to try and keep the original hands.

Thank you again to the both of you. -R

Any watchmaker with a rolex parts account can order and install those hands for you.
