What colour of strap

I have a 214270 Explorer, and I prefer to wear a leather strap. I am going to buy a reasonably expensive one so trying not to make a mistake. I am leaning towards a honey brown or burgundy. What are your favourite colours hopefully someone will come up with a good idea.
Thanks

I think burgundy would look terrific. Probably someone here could photoshop it.

I feel like honey brown would be far too light. My personal choice would be black (I think a semi-glossy black croc would look amazing), but if you want colour then a dark, deep burgundy would be great.

Just remember that modern Rolexes don't leave much room for the strap, so a thick strap (or even an average sporty one) might get mangled by the sharp case edges. Don't spend a lot of money on a strap unless you're confident it'll fit -- you'll be pretty miserable if your $200 strap gets chewed up and looks terrible.

*edit* Actually, I just Google imaged it, and I'm seeing several quite thick straps on the explorer (that would never fit on a sub or GMT), so maybe it's not an issue for this particular watch case? Or I might just be looking at older models. Hard to tell a 36mm from the current version because it also has the more proportionate hands and lumed numbers.

I would have chosen black but I have an Omega Seamaster on black that looks the business. Thanks so burgundy looks good but what colour stitching. I know I'm like a woman can't make my mind up.
