I'm not an expert, but you could probably also look at the 29, which seems to have the same dimensions and be a bit cheaper, no?

029 is less expensive but not one I'd buy.

I tried on 2 11's last week and found it to be too thick for my liking (but the fit was incredible) and found the size of the 55 to be better suited. They had a 30 too but I didn't try it on for some reason

Thanks, also I probably already know the answer to this but would you take a 30 over an 11?

I don't like the 29. It reminds me of the 005 with a bigger case and big date. Prefer the skeletonization of the 30 more.

Also, is it fair to say the 30 is in between the 10 and 11 in terms of size? I really wish I had tried it on now because I just saw some pics of the St. Tropez version and it is

Not going to be a shocker, but 011>030. However, I don't dislike 030 so if it appeals to you jump on it. However, 011 is a 'safe' bet

I quite like the 30 (although didn't keep mine very long) but don't think that pricing similar to an 11 is justified even though I agree the complication is interesting.

All sold out I thought Elliot? I will be very interested to see what the first one to go to auction sells for.

Hey guys. Been learning about RM thanks to this thread, one of my favorites. RM is certainly an intriging brand and their designs very avant garde IMO. Beautiful modern sport watches no doubt.

Wish someone can help me out regarding a probable purchase. My AD has a RG 030 in stock. Love the RG/rubber combo and the looks, not sure the declutchable rotor complication is very useful. What is your opinion on this piece? What would be a fair price to offer? Are there any other RM models that offer better value at this pricepoint? I have been trying to find info but with so many references it is hard to pinpoint which model is which or the differences between them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HAGW!

Very cool but how are they going to not release any of a watch called the bubba in the us? That's like AP making the 44 offshore Wayne Rooney and not selling any in England

Really? It's supposed to have a resistance of 1450 vickers, I am not a pro but in the little I know I thought that was almost scratch proof as ceramic or sapphire, am I wrong about this?

Very cool piece, the Bubba in black used to be one of my favorite RM's but not anymore, like the Nadal pieces much more, which doesn't mean I would say no if someone offered me one of the Bubbas

I've had bead blasted finished watches before and the issue is that if you scratch up the watch, you can't restore the finish unless you re blast it with beads. It's not as simple as polishing or re-brushing the typical stainless steel or precious metal. I do not know if bead blasting increases the density of the metal.

It's like those cars with the matte finish, if you scratch the paint, you can't go to a detailer or body shop to "buff" out. It needs to be re-painted.

The heat shield tiles on the belly of the shuttle are made to withstand extreme heat but are fragile to impacts from flying debris.

This maybe so but my comment was just aimed at showing another application of use and not trying to validate its hardness!

Abrasion resistance is its key, same as other ceramics used in watch making very good scratch resistance at the cost of impact resistance!

Someone needs to make a watch out of unobtainium! Then we are taking...

well the diver black ceramic has a resistance of 1350 Vickers, I thought that made it very resistant to shocks, hope it is as I would be very upset to have a ding in mine, would go crazy

I would take an 11 over a 30 99 times out of a hundred. You should try the 11 before deciding. Similar price points unless you go for a special limited edition 11 in which case, the price is appreciably higher.
