ROO 44 - Ti, old RG or new RG
I've decided to add a ROO 44 to the collection.
If you all had to pick, which would you go for? I'd be wearing this relatively casually as I don't dress up often. Side note - is there still new stock of the old style RG? Or did this get discontinued a while back. |

For me I went with the Ti and it is a winner! I had the old RG and loved it but traded later for old Ceramic anthracite. Once the new Ti came out it was perfect combo of looks and ultra light weight. Love the contrast of titanium and ceramic as well as the grey dial and strap. They are all nice but for me the Ti is hard to beat!

I'm leaning towards Ti as possibly seems better for daily wear (lighter, a little less bling for when you don't want bling). Also of course quite a bit cheaper leaving some funds for the Patek Nautilus im hoping to land at some point.

New RG. Take the old RG off the list.
I use the RG as my go to currently. It's really not as blingy as you think. You don't have that much gold, your bezel, pushers, and strap are all black. I like the Ti, but for some reason for those colors, I just rather get a schumi if I'm going to go grey. It has that pop even though it's an all grey watch. |

Definitely grab Ti for comfort alone.
The 'old' 44 isn't that bad weight wise, but certainly has more pop than I like in a watch. If you go RG, the old one gets my vote. |

Basically the RG really pops with all the contrast of the gold and black and the Ti is much more smooth with the colors. Really depends on what you are going for. If they were music the RG would be rock and the Ti would be jazz... thats how i feel about them anyway. |

I like the Ti then old RG. New RG color scheme doesn't appeal to me personally as I like some contrast in the sub dials.
I think you're smart to go Ti and save some green for your expected nautilus

I'd go for the OG RG as you have other white metal watches, and with the bezel and strap there is not that much RG there. Love the reverse panda dial.

I went with the Ti. I've had the SS, Ceramic, and CF in the past. The lightweight Ti with the grey dial and matching grey strap is perfect for a daily wearer.

Old RG 100% I will hopefully acquire the Ti soon, but only because it is cheaper. If money were not object, 26401 old style everyday.

What's your priority? Comfort or looks? For comfort, the Ti44 is hard to beat. For looks, I will go with the old RG.

I would vote TI for daily wear. If you went RG, the OG version is my choice by a far margin.

Thanks for the opinions so far. Pretty split. Tough as I can't see the old RG, I generally prefer it's dial. Of course it can also be picked up pre owned for almost $10k less than the new one so there's that :) anyone else own both the RG and Ti or make a move from one to the other?

Tyler's points are very valid!
I don't like the look of RG/YG against my skin so the Vs didn't really come into play however when looking at the 44ROO as a watch option I always seemed to find the RG to try when looking and will say from that the weight of both the Ti is perfect! Can fully understand the love of the RG but for me it was slightly top heavy and moved a bit on my wrist (I guess I could of mixed strap options to acquire a better fit but fit I get a perfect fit with the Ti on the same standard strap) |

I noticed the initial weight when trying on guest this disappears over time? Shame I don't wear gold otherwise think the RG ROO would make a great companion to my Ti. |

Plus Ben always says the GP strap wears more comfortably than the rubber on it so that's another avenue.

I don't really wear gold either. I only just became comfortable with RG when deciding on mine. The RG44 is sort of 1/2 gold because of the rubber strap. Im still undecided if i can pull of a full RG watch with a bracelet. If i did it would be the Jumbo.

Its a matter of personal preference, but I hate to have any of my watches loose so they 'sag', I have to wear them snug. The trouble is with wrist expansion in hot or cold this can vary. But there's nothing more annoying (and unsightly on a man) than a watch hanging on the wrist like a bracelet.
