Explorer 2016 booklet question

Hello all

I recently traded my 2015 Explorer at my local AD for the 2016 model.

When they first came out I wasn't immediately sure about an upgrade but over time I decided I would make the change. I really like the new version but I was surprised when the AD staff seemed to have no idea about the changes between the old and new versions...they must have thought I was mad making the upgrade...

When I got home and looked in the box I realised I have an Air King booklet. Not a problem - I called and explained so they sent out an Explorer one by post.

It arrived the next day. However, in the booklet pictures, the older model Explorer is shown (no lume on numerals) and the reference to warranty is red seal (2 years) not green. Is it possible that the booklets haven’t been updated...or did they just send me an old version. I’d prefer to ask on this forum before I speak again with the AD.

I’d be grateful if any post-2016 Explorer owners could say whether their booklet is “updated” or shows pre-2016 info?
Thanks!
Richard

Huh.

I bought a 214270 MK 1 and didn't get any booklet. Just warranty card w/ serial # and Green hang tag.

Hi - many thanks for the replies - and sorry for late response, I've been travelling on family holiday.

Great to have an idea of what I should have had - and interesting to hear that this is not a consistent experience it seems.

I'l contact my AD when I'm back from hols!
Thanks
Richard

The last line of the last page of my Oyster Perpetual Explorer pamphlet reads as:

"556.06 USA - 4.2016 - Printed in Switzerland"

I assume the last set of numbers relates to date of printing: April of 2016.
Pamphlet cover is Rolex green color.

I wasn't fast enough to get the correct bezel protector for mine, but I did get a green "Warranty Booklet Worldwide Service", and I asked for (and received) the plastic shipping casket, along with the other items mentioned above. Oh, and a Rolex magazine too. :)
