Watches in Service

I'm literally on pins and needles from day to day. Question is: Does RSC give any progress updates during a service? Maybe only if additional work is contingent upon contact? At Beverly Hills, they seemed so quick to take the watch and send it out; but besides the initial email receipt I have had no follow-up. Guess it would be a nice touch; but am I asking little too much to get some tracking/feedback updates on my $13,000 time child for his ~5 week vacation? Empty nest (naked wrist) syndrome?

I think they see so many $13k watches that they don't think of it as special, as do we. I don't believe there is any progress update available.

As I typed, I figured it was too much to ask. I'm just having major withdrawals. Three weeks and counting!

I sent my Sub in for a service to a RSC through an AD on 7th June, the date allocated for return was 6 weeks. It cane back after 3 and a half weeks serviced and looking beautiful. There was no progress report while it was away....Like yourself in missed it like crazy, but be rest assured it's worth the wait and the price of the service.....it comes with a 2 year international service guarantee....try and be patient it'll come back looking beautiful.

Ha! Boutiques and AD's should give you loaner watches like the car companies do when your car is in service. Makes it less painful and could lead to more sales. Divorce lawyers would love it. It's a win-win.

Watches in Service

Did you try to call the RSC for a status report. I can't believe that they don't track the watches by computer so that they could give you an up to date report. When I used the Watch Buyers' Group to service my DJ, they called and spoke with me about the status of the watch when it was received and, when I called for a status report after several weeks, they were able to check on status immediately with the computer. Seeing that an RSC costs about twice what I paid, you'd think they would gladly respond, maybe not.

When I sent my OP in for a new crystal the lack of communication bothered me. I think it was a phone call saying they received it. An email asking for me to approve the work and provide a CC. Then it was a long silence. I finally called and asked what was going on and they called me back with an answer.
Give them a call and see where you are in line. Can't hurt

I figured as a warranty covered service, I may get something; but you're right "teb"/Clark, I'll give them a call today.

Haha it hasn't even been two weeks... But everything seems in order for first week of September. We both chuckled and she assured me "It will pass quickly!"

Two more weeks of winter.

Progress report at this stage would probably be: still in the queue. From what I have been told, it only takes about half a day to service the watch, then a few days to fully regulate it in several positions.

Three weeks hey. ROTFLMFAO.

Life's tough.
Try an historical minimum of 9 weeks at an RSC and out to a maximum of 13 weeks.

Hong Kong is usually less than three weeks (11 days is the quickest return I received).

A person would think you were waiting for news of the birth of your first born child.

It's just awfull living in a third world country.
Or am i just in a backwater?

No display model SD43's yet and no confitmation of their arrival date which seems to be getting pushed back a fortnight at a time.
Also the same situation applies to the SS Skydweller.
The DJ41's are freely available though
