Rotating dial . . . a problem?
I'm looking seriously at a new GMT Master 2. My first Rolex. It's simple looking and doesn't scream I'M WEARING AN EXPENSIVE WATCH! Plus, I just really like the watch.
But all the watches I've ever had with a rotating dial around the face have had the following problem. The dial shifts during the course of a day making it useless. If I set the dial I want it to STAY PUT! For those of you who own one (especially the new GMT 2 with the ceramic dial) does your dial move during the day? I'd really rather not spend $8K on a watch with a useless dial. I like the looks of the new GMT Master 2, but . . . |

Unless I rotate the bezel on my Sub it hardly ever moves. After weeks of wear it might, might be off a click.

My rotating bezel never rotates out of place unless I rotate it.

Not to disparage your previous watches but your bezel should not move unless you make it. I had an el cheapo worth $15 bucks that did that. The rotating bezel on a Rolex or even an Omega for that matter, such like i have should not and does not. With your purchase, you should place little thought in the Rolex failing you as it will not.

I had that problem with Vostoks. Neither my Chinese replica Sub nor the genuine Sub have ever had bezel creep. You might want a reputable watch repair shop have a look.
Best of luck. |
