Thoughts on 116613LN

I am going back on forth on several sport models. I really like the glidelock clasp feature on the Subc. I also like the weight and look of the two tone models.

I notice that the 116613LN is not as popular as other subs. I would appreciate your thoughts on this watch. Pictures from owners are welcomed.

Thank you.

I love the 116613. I think it is the perfect watch for a small collection because it so darn versatile. You can easily dress it up or wear it with shorts and a T-Shirt. I have two TT Subs and love to wear them. I would only offer the following advice. Consider trying on the the LB (Blue Dial) before you make you final decision. I find that it adds a little bit of uniqueness to the watch. The blue dial also uses a beautiful gold text on the dial that I prefer (as opposed to the white dial text on the LN version)...

Try them both on with dress and casual clothes. What AD do you prefer to go check out items? I chose a TT because my wedding band is YG and I wanted them to match! :P

Tom, they're both great looking Subs. Looks like a trip to your AD! The Blue is a beautiful Sub, though. I know some prefer the pre-ceramic TT Blue Sub, but either way, the combination of Steel, Gold and Blue is a winning formula.

I wouldn't let popularity come into the decision unless you plan to sell it in the near future. Long-term owners should get what they love. And who knows what will be popular long-term?

I'm not that smart - if I was, then I would have a dozen Paul Newmans in the vault.

I have generally disliked two tone watches...

Until that one came out.

It is a winner on all counts.

If we are talking about the new TT Black subc it is as good as it gets. I own it and have yet to see another one in the wild. I see blue ones all the time. The new blue to me looks flat and toyish. The black is deep and vibrant and goes with everything. This forum is filled with biased SS sub owners who hate seeing black in TT. Beware though that the Plc's do scratch easily though.

the 116613LN is definitely one of my favourite watches ever.

Love the black dial!! (Love the blue one too)

I would go for it! I am considering myself to trade my SS subC + cash for it!

A very fine choice. I own the blue, and it it's a heck of a watch with all of the modern updates. The only flaw I've encountered is an itch to jump up to the solid gold model!!!!

I went to the zale's in Woodfield Mall. They are not that knowledgeable, but did have a decent selection. I only looked for 10 minutes.

I was actually late for our new house closing. My wife was less than thrilled when she found out what I was doing.

Thanks again for the comments and opinions.

Love them both and it is a tough decision. I too like the added weight to the TT over the SS but I would try them both a few more times and see what you think... You dont want to make a costly mistake and trust me I have made plenty of those.. In the last month even
