Got the call for my 5740

After long wait, my beloved AD finally called me yesterday and tell me that 5740 had arrived. Razny is great and never let me down. They are the only AD in this country which I will trust to put 50% deposit for any timepiece. I have to complete my wiring of the remaining 50% deposit on Monday and get my 5740. Christine at the Chicago store always look after me even at a chaotic time like this.
Pic will follow soon.

Congratulations

50% down is unacceptable.

I don't mind to do 50% as long as I'm allocated a piece I want but it has to be someone I can trust. There are other AD who ask me 100% deposit for a white dial skydweller with no deliverable day.

50% down is just silly. There is no AD I would trust with that.

Congrats on the incoming.

Trust is not easy to come. But I had been purchasing from Razny since 2012 and I'm comfortable with them. Deposit shows my commitment toward the purchase. Looking back, if I did not put that money away, 1/2 of my 58k would be lost in the recent stock market. As for other ADs, I won't even put 10% down for the skydweller.

Wait...your AD is still doing deliveries? Where are you?!? I’m sure he probably has a lot of stock on hand of other reference pieces?? NYC is getting locked down so if I were you I would rush over there to take delivery!

Good for you and congrats but i think most people’s stocks went down like 20 to 30 percent.

Congratulations! Enjoy in good health. Hope your nephew tested negative.

When (how long ago) did you place your order/put in the deposit, if you don't mind me asking?

I put the deposit since August 2018 and that secure my order. They did tell me that delivery time is Dec 2019. I checked in with them once a month after December 2019. The delay is normal as I imagine that most of the pieces are re-direct to Singapore or Asia because of the show to satisfy regional demand. When Razny took my deposit, it made me feel more secure. They would not take anyone deposit if they can't fill the order.
Just like my Porsche dealer ask me for 100k deposit for my GT2RS. And that only to secure my lot but there is still more headache down the line to negotiate for the premium of the car.

Yep I know they closed the store due to the shelter in place last night. But banks should remain open and they can receive my money.
Btw, any idea of how long the lock down will be? In NY, we just announced that we are in lock down starting tonight.

Good luck and hopefully you will get a spot soon. My friend got a 5147 from Christine and it is an amazing piece. I wish that they can make a white gold bracelet for the 5147.

Congratulations and good timing, a lot of Patek AD’s are closing the doors in the UK as of today.
