Any love for 5100?

I don’t hear too much about this reference but I think it’s one of the best non super complicated references out there. I guess because they didn’t make many it falls through the cracks. What do you guys think?

I love the blue face. The flare on the sides is classic. 8 day power reserve. Fantastic. I think it is an annual to boot. I tried it on and loved the style. Issue for me was the dial was not legible for my eyes.

I have owned both the G and the P - great watches and never to be repeated as the tools to make them again were destroyed I believe. Size a bit small for me but I love the manta rag case design. Produced for the Millennium and not huge numbers so you don’t see too many of the G and P around although the J and R were larger productions. P only 100 pieces.

I own the 5100G - only 300 pieces were produced in WG. Not sure if Patek will ever produce another 10-day power reserve watch. Once wound, this watch feels like it runs forever without requiring another wind. Blue dial on the 5100G is quite amazing!

You are correct. 300 P, 450 G, 750 R and 1500 J. The J is more readily available, but the P and G are not that easy to find. I saw and tried on the G and P initially and didn't appreciate them as much at first. A couple of years later when I found a G in mint shape, I knew I had to add it to my collection!
