Nautilus family

Everything is so simple, up until it's complicated. The Nautilus does both, simple and complicated, with aplomb, in my opinion. Grainy iphone photo in poor light, but....Smitten and slightly obsessed...the 5726 arrived yesterday to nestle in the middle...

Definitely obsessed, but you've chosen the right watch to be obsessed about
When I look at this picture I'm really drawn to the 5726, what happened there?!
Congratulations John roll on number 4!

Oh awesome trio, my 3 favorite Nautilus, that's great, do you have other watches or are you just focused on Nautilus models?

5711 the only one for me. Simple, uncluttered and iconic.

Wearing mine now and I really do love the Nautilus design and I esp like the hour markers, something I don't take much notice of on my other watches.

Lovely looking trio John:thumbs:

And welcome to the forum, they are a great bunch of knowledgable horologists, either that or we are just plain crazy

Thank you Arnaud. Just one other Patek...a 5167. Other than that, mostly a vintage collection.

Here's a better shot of the trio...

No, don't listen to this guy, he's part of the 5726 cult, you have awesome watches, keep them as is, IMHO you have the perfect SS trio, love all 3, but 5726 IMHO is third on the list, but I'm just crazy about blue dials...

Very cool as well, though I would love to see a 5712 in there instead of the 5990, never fell for that model, you still have a great foursome Sir

You like the 5990 George? It's the only Nautilus which I really don't like, just can't get used to the dial, but it's just a taste question...

The best way I can describe the difference is to say that the 5711 looks 2D while the 5990 (and 5980) appears more 3D due to the extra case thickness (which I prefer).

There seems to be a strong preference in these forums for the 5980 vs 5990. I was also in that camp until I spent time wearing it and began to appreciate the design. The watch definitely looks more modern, as it should given its more recent release date.

For me it lacks features i love most in Nautilus -the blue dial, thin case-though really like the its complications so kind of debate .

Good to see a 5980 and 5990 in the same collection. I love the 5990, hope to see it with a blue dial in the future.
