Opinions on 5224 v 5905
I have submitted my request to Patek for a 5224r. Given it is a new offering, the 5905 rose gold green dial may be easier to get. Does anyone have both that can share feedback on? I really really love the 24 hour dial on the 5224 and it's a little less dressy which suits my lifestyle better. Thank you.

I have yet to see the 5224R in the metal but it looks great on line. It is however 42mm which may be a little on the eye candy side? Not that that puts me off apart from the nervousness of wearing one in a large European city where muggings are increasingly a concern.
If you buy one please shows us some snaps. |

I wear 5905R as a daily driver, to me an Annual Calender is much more useful complication then a GMT without date. 5905R is little sportier as it’s 42 mm case with around 13 mm thickness.

I have now seen one in the metal. It is stunning. So Beautiful it is probably unobtainable!

5205g is a great option. Can easily be dressed down with a suede strap.

So cool! I am eyeing this one as possible my first PP. Likely won’t be for a couple more years. I like the 42mm size and it’s relatively thin. I also like the platinum micro rotor and the dial is really unique and cool. Good lume too. I assume you are still enjoying yours? Also a big plus to me is there are no pushers. Keeps the case nice and clean. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I owned a 5905P and used to wear it in jeans and a t shirt. It can be worn as a casual watch just easy if not easier than the 5224R due to the size of the case. |
