Credor Watches

Not sure if this belongs in a Seiko forum, but there doesn’t seem to be a Credor forum. Anybody here own a Credor? What is your opinion of them?

I own one, a handwound Spring Drive. Puts my Grand Seikos to shame.

Too much of a niche brand for a separate forum, IMHO, to get one you have to make an effort.

The eichi ii is amazing. Handled a rose gold one, was debating what I could sell to get it. The brand itself confused me since it supposedly is their highest end line but they also have cheap mall shop looking watches.

I agree on all points. Most of their quartz offerings should just have been labelled seiko or presage or brightz or even galante.

Am targetting an eichi as well as a chronograph. In coming years.

I own this Credor chronograph from 2000 and it’s awesome. Unfortunately I’ve been unable to source an extra link and is barely too tight on my 7in wrist, so it gets no wrist time. So it’s for sale on another forum. But build quality and everything else is awesome. And the bracelet quality is fantastic. And the movement is the 6s series, which has a pretty interesting history.

Generally they’re very impressive watchmaking in very meh packaging. Very Japanese - and unfortunately I mean that in the sense of busy and incoherent design (the Japanese tend to concentrate on details more than the whole). Of all the Credors I’ve seen and handled (and every time I’m in Tokyo I visit Wako at least once) the Eichi II is the only one I found compelling and truly spectacular.

if credor only made watches of this calibre they would be much more known/respected in the hautehorology scene. what a stunning watch

I really want a credor. The only issue is I haven’t found one at least 40mm as I can’t wear anything smaller than that being 6’8”. But I’ve only looked on chrono24 so maybe there will be something my size if I really look hard. I do like the below watches if they were my size but I think they are 39 and 37, respectively.
