Dear lord! Did a gorilla cut open that box?! A giant deep "X" slash across the top, corner to corner with a box cutter. Sheesh! "Castro" might've been a doorman. It's common practice for doormen to sign for packages and hold them for the tenants in NYC. He must've saw that the Rolex didn't have a cyclops, assumed it was fake, and returned it. Hah.

Sorry,,, i hope this gets resolved quickly.

PS. Agreed. Registered Mail with brown gummed paper tape along all seems and edges is definitely the way to go.

Sucks that you had to deal with such as issue. I am dealing with a similar issue with USPS but in my case the watch hasn't been delivered to me (the buyer) even though it supposedly shows up in their system as "Delivered". I am crossing my fingers that it shows up and hopefully in the same condition it was sent.

Did you get it resolved with USPS? Did they give you any trouble filing the insurance claim?
