I went with a president...but preferred the classic size as I like to see a little of the bracelet when looking down at it and found an as new ....its perfect!...a year later...you guessed it I had to have the daytona...in gold.

I think I would go DD, versatile, lovely looking watch, that you can dress up or down.

Another watch I love is the VC patrimony traditionelle small seconds. It is a beautiful watch IMHO. But worry too dressy so I wouldn't wear it much.

It doesn't have to be Rolex.

Cheers

For my 50th earlier this year I did a double dip, WG Patrimony and a nice used 16710. IMO the VC works with an Oxford and chinos all the way to "dressed up".

DD - 36mm - classic. Not a fan of the larger DDII

Thanks Mike I trust your opinion on all things gold.

If i didn't have my YM which I got not too long ago and really like the WG sub would be the sub I would choose.

Beautiful. I also really like the green dial version. This is a contender.

Very interesting. If I went with the VC I might be able to squeeze a used HULK into the rotation . . . ;)
