Congrats! Know the feeling all too well. Branched out to other brands early on, but went back to Rolex a few years ago. Honestly, I think I will be wearing Rolex for the rest of my life. The brand has everything I could want. No need to go elsewhere.

Similar experience here, I went to other brands for a while just to come back to Rolex and appreciate them even more

That's awesome BrownDog, not only about your story, but that you wore a SEA-DWELLER for 11 years!

I have yet to keep any ROLEx for longer then 4 months...

Congrat's on your new Crew, and welcome home!

Thanks! These timepieces are truly one of life's pleasures.

Looking back I think what really kept it on my wrist for so long was that watch being such a aspirational thing for me at a young age. My older brother purchased a two-tone sub and I was awestruck. I had to have one. I worked and worked and saved just about every dollar I made. I went to the same jewelry store over and over to try it on. I can remember them giving me the Seadweller booklet with the diver on it. I remember the way the booklet smelled. I remember cashing out my bank account and walking in with a wad of cash and can't remember feeling more satisfaction. Finally purchasing the Seadweller was a very special day and never pictured parting with it.

These are awesome things and I feel grateful that I and all of us for that matter, get to enjoy these and life's many pleasures.

Cheers.
