Hello everyone,

I am new this forum and the world of watches. When it comes to buying anything over $5000+ I like to find forums as that is the best place to get honest opinions.

I'm currently in the market to buy my first luxury watch. The watch that I am looking at currently is the Black Submariner 116610 LN. I have found one online with a listed price of $8000 by a company called SteinDiamonds https://www.steindiamonds.com/rolex/...dial-40mm.html. I called them and after talking to them they let me know I can get it for $7500 and shipped to any state except California (I live in Cali so I have to get it shipped to a family member). They said the watch comes with 5 year manufacturer warranty and lifetime warranty that they honor.

I understand that these guys are not official dealers of Rolex. My question would be are they able to sell the watch with manufacturer warranty or can that only be done by Rolex/Rolex dealers? Also, any opinions on SteinDiamonds would be appreciated. I apologize if this is the wrong section to ask this.

Welcome to the forum - that doesn't appear to have a manufacturer's warranty. Take a close look at their Warranty terms and conditions.
So it would be Stein Diamonds offering their own. Before you buy, take a look at the same model offered here in the Classifieds by trusted sellers.

Nothing against Steindiamonds, but with a big important purchase like this -- so much at stake (would be for me, anyway), I would just go with a local AD. My opinion, at least. You pretty much know what you're getting, and you build a relationship (if that means anything) ahead of your second Rolex.
