Rolex 6605 power reserve
Hello everyone,
I have a rolex datejust 6605 with a 1065 movement with a low power reserve. I just got it serviced. When I wind it 20 times I can wear it and it will keep good time, I didn't time it but I would say +/- 10 sec a day. But for exemple if I don't move that much during the day and that lay the watch during the night it will be stopped when I wake up. I would say the movement have around 10/15h of power reserve. Is it normal for a movement of this age ? It has been serviced so I can't really do more about it. |

It’s all relative …..
With only 20 winds, then put on your wrist for an indeterminate time, with no idea of how your day went – it’s utterly impossible to second guess how long the watch “should” run for – there’s no reference point Wind the watch 30 or 40 times and place it face up somewhere out of the way – it should run for two days (48hrs) at least Same deal with keeping time – you say “I didn't time it but I would say +/- 10 sec a day” If you didn’t time it, then it remains unknown – for the record, it should be to within +3/-3 secs a day, especially when just serviced I suspect your watch performs better than you give it credit for, but you’ll need to do some definitive tests to find out …… |
