SubC 116610 with 93150 clasp
Ok so here goes! The one thing I love about the 16610 sub is the embossed clasp that blends in with bracelet. Although I love the ceramic bezel and the SEL of the SubC, I found that the glide-lock clasp too long for my 6.8" wrist.
So I've decided to source an authentic 91350 clasp with the diver extension to try out on my 116610 SubC! Here's the result and I love it. P.S. I don't plan on selling the glide-lock clasp, rather keep it in the box till I decide to put it back on. What's your thoughts? I guess comfort it the most important consideration but this looks a little NQR to me.. the original glidelock clasp looks a lot better on that bracelet. Perhaps visit a Rolex service centre to see what they can do to make the original clasp fit better. Will half links and better placement of the clasp do the trick?

Oh I had no issues with the original clasp. I had it down to a science and it was centered perfectly on my wrist! It was just too long and also not as comfortable as the 91350 clasp. Plus I love the look :). Knowing that I still have the original clasp gives me ease of mind that I can put it back on at any time but like I said... love the look of the flow between the laps and bracelet, love the fact that it's shorted and it's way more comfortable! The clasp that would be perfect for you and also look better is from the 116710 GMT.

Congrats on finding a configuration that you're happy with. It's interesting because it's usually the other way around (people with a 16610 buy a glide lock clasp and install it.) |

SubC 116610 with 93150 clasp
Quote:
True and still open to it. But thought I'd give this a try first due tot he fact that it was an easy plug and play from a previous sub generation to the next. The 116710 would require a brush to rid of the PCL of the clasp but I couldn't agree with you more. Do you know where I could source one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

That is correct mate. But was contemplating the 116710 clasp as well, but due to the polished center and the fact the the only one I was able to find included the bracelet and asking for $2k I went with the 91350 clasp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
