Hi everyone,

Hope you're all doing fine and having great time.

What i want to learn is; what's the biggest case size Rolex ever made with quartz movement?

That's not correct. The OQ models (day date and datejust) were 36mm. However, the "Texan" Ref 5100 was 40mm. You can read more here:

One would assume that's where the name comes from. I'd love one, but I'm not touching anything with a beta 21 movement.

That's interesting. And actually a great looking watch. Learn things here all the time. Had never heard of the "Texan".

Definitely one of the rarest references in modern'ish history. It's a shame about the movement. That case with an automatic movement would be incredibly desirable.

Do you ever think Rolex and some other big companies will return with quartz movements one day in future?

Breitling has amazingly accurate in house Swiss superquartz (thermocompensated) movements. Accurate to about 12 seconds per year but most people on breitlingsource observed +\- 3 seconds per year. Those can be had as big as 47+mm and as small as ladies sizes and from 1500-20000+ usd.

I have an Quartz DD and it was given to me by my father upon graduating from med school. It is the most accurate rolex I own and it is quite beautiful. Most don't like it due not being perpetual. I like it because of its rarity and it's sentimental value. If you like it, get it.

I've been looking for a pristine Oysterquartz 19019 for some time. I think they are fantastic watches!

If you're looking for something contemporary outside of Seiko, the Omega Aqua Terra quartz is another option at 38.5mm.
