agreed!
I ended up buying a rolex datejust then saving up for my Black Bay :)
The pelagos is on hold till a later date.
In the future if I get a management position with a nice office, I would love to get a gold JLC dress watch with moon phase

I got a Pelagos first and then a GMT. If you have an itch, you must scratch it - don't scratch some other part.

If you go with your proposed plan, I suspect you'll end up selling them within a year to buy a Rolex.

I'd go for the Sub, just can't get my head round the snowflake hand on the Tudors.

After trying Tudor and liked it in the beginning, I sold it - so 1 Rolex > 2 Tudors.

I'd buy what you like more....if the Rolex sings more..then go that way. Having two watches you'd want to wear less is not a plus.

I'd buy the watch that I loved and that would hold its value best. For me it would be the Sub Date.

Oh yes, I'd have one Rolex all day long over five Tudors, let alone two.

One of what you really want is always better than any number of what you kind of want.

Go Rolex.

One Rolex. Followed by another Rolex in a year or two when funds allow. Buy once, cry once.

1 Rolex is all you need, especially when we are talking about a Submariner.

Bill Simmons used to write "never trade a dollar for four quarters" in terms of making a sports trade (don't trade 1 superstar athlete for >1 lesser players). I think the same concept applies here, albeit in reverse.

Don't get two watches that would "add up" to the one watch you'd want instead.

The more watches you have, the less wrist time they all get...

I'd just take the single Rolex in your case. As a previous Pelagos owner, it just didn't feel as special as the Sub.

I would get 1 Rolex and 1 Tudor (perhaps a Sub ND and a Black Bay).

Don't mind the Explorer in there.

Doesn't matter how many tudors or other brands you choose they aren't Rolex. I spent years and went through many watches trying to stave the Rolex urge until finally realized I should bite the bullet and get a Rolex. Once I itched that scratch pretty much everything else in the collection became redundant.

I'd get the Rolex. The Tudor will be easier to save for at a later date. (and just get one)?
