Welcome to the group. Great choice of watch. My wife has the same 26mm DateJust with different dial. She loves it and it looks really nice on her very small wrist. Great pics, too. You'll have to make sure and post some pics when you're out in the wild wearing this beauty.

WOW!! Thank you all for the warm welcoming everyone!!!

NICERIDE - "You didn't happen to let him weasel out of an engagement ring, did you?" <-- LOL.... no.. funny that you mention because after he gave me the watch... a few hours later he started saying he shouldnt have and he should have bought me the ring first. I told him it was fine in replacement of the ring. Who says you need to have a ring? A ring is just the norm, i know, but this is a lovely piece and you can have anything be a symbol of your love and devotion. BUT, he thought not especially since we have a traditional family, they'll be expecting to see a ring on my finger.... SO... the ring is coming... at a later time.

DSIO - "Perhaps a Sub-C for him as a wedding present ;)" <-- He already has a Sub..... but its a thought... thanks!

LISA - "So pretty! The size looks perfect on your tiny wrist. And I must say the leather strap is a very nice option - are you able to get a snugger fit with the strap? It gives the watch a completely different personality.

Congratulations!"
<--- THANK YOU! I do get a nice snug fit with the strap. I have it on the second to last hole right now, but after the leather loosens up a bit, i might have to tighten it up and pull it to the last strap, but so far so good. The strap doesn't really move around and its much lighter than the bracelet of course. I definitely agree that the strap gives the watch a whole other personality. Im already eyeing different colored straps for the fall and winter! lol

SPEED - Nice!!!

My wife required a bit of "surgery" in the form of removing links / adding a 1 1/4 link on the Jubilee for a proper fit. She is small-wristed as well. Agree. The 26mm is perfect on you.

Congratulations all around...and Welcome.
<--- Thank you so much! My fiance wanted me to ask you more about how you got your wifes watch resized. For me, if i removed one more link, the watch was a little hard to get through my hand and also fit too tight. So we had to settle for an extra link because Rolex couldn't adjust it anymore. If you could shine some light on this issue, we'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

EVERYONE - Thank you all again for the Congrats and Welcoming me to TRF. I am very happy with the watch, thank you all! And yes I am very lucky lady and am very EXCITED!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you!

Every Mother of Pearl dial is unique in terms of its shading and character. I like yours it has a very silvery, one might say liquid silver in fact appearance.

Beautiful watch! The white MOP with the Roman is a very handsome look with just enough pizazz. I do like the strap option you chose, too, although that bracelet is such a winner. Congrats!

Congratulations on your engagement. Your watch is beautiful.
Your fiance is a watch fanatic? Is he already a member here?
Best of luck to you both.

Miss Kare congrats on your engagement! Simply stunning timepiece! In my opinion I am a huge fan of all of Rolex's mother of pearl offerings! My friends and I consider them musuem pieces for the something special they offer on your wrist! As Lol-x stated no two are alike and yours in beautiful! Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum Miss Karen and congratulations on your engagement and beautiful watch. My wife and her twin sister have the TT lady DJ's with diamond mop dial and they love them. One had the white mop while the other has the Tahitian black pearl.

Thank you all so much for all your kind words!!!
And for a very warm welcoming to TRF. I love it!

I agree completely that the Mother of Pearl is unique and not every piece is the same and they are all absolutely stunning. I think I made a good choice with the pearl strap. It has loosened up a bit and fits much better on my wrist. I do miss the bracelet a little bit... but prefer the snug fit rather than the loose moving around. Until we fix the bracelet issue, it will be the leather strap for most of the time. That is, unless a dressy occasion comes up.

@ EAST BAY RIDER - "Your fiance is a watch fanatic? Is he already a member here?" <-- Yes indeed he is a member here. He's the reason I am on here.... at first he didnt want me invading "his" forum.... but hey... he made me a part of the club!

@ ZOCSOS - "Congratulation for your engagement ! Very nice engagement present! If I were you I'd keep this boy because more likely there is more Rolex to come in the future! :-)" <--- I would have to agree! lol.... but next in line is a ring!

@ INGOODTIME - "One had the white mop while the other has the Tahitian black pearl." <--- Oh~ the black pearl was beautiful when we saw it at Rolex. So many beautiful pieces... sooo little time!

I purchased my wife the same watch with a white dial. It is a stunning piece and she loves it too. The bracelet sparkles.

A little late to the party, but:

A. Welcome to TRF. I hope you get to spend some time here to enjoy the place.

B. Beautiful watch. It looks great on your wrist and (much as I hate to say it), it looks equally good on the bracelet and the strap. Wear it in good health and through many good years of marriage.

C. Congratulations on your engagement. Maybe you let us in on some wedding pics when the time comes for that happy event.
