New NATO from Broadarrow

Anyone see the new "MI-6" NATO from Broadarrow? Seems like it might be the most "Bond authentic" with the fabric type AND the cloth keeper. I'll be buying on (or maybe two so I can have a 18mm and 20mm).

That's awesome. I wish they made it in a Zulu though...preferably in a 4-ring design. I bought a Maratac Bond NATO and the adjusting strap holes started stretching in a few days because of the weight of the watch head....I used it on a DSSD.

I never returned it because the $20 I paid wasn't worth the effort to send it back.

IMO, the thicker Zulu handles a heavier watch head better. A 4-ring would be my personal preference.

Maybe I could take two MI-6 straps, take off one buckle, and sew them together into one strap

Cheers,

I would disagree with you if not for the fact that you have a DSSD! That things is a BEAST!

Actually, of all the Maratac straps, I think I prefer the ones with the cloth keeper the most. I have a black one that I wear more often than the others.

I LOVE my Corvus Bond RAF...but I'm thinking this one might be a little beefier for an all-round wearer (swimming, cycling, jogging, etc.).

We'll see if I can sneak another strap passed my wife's keen eyes!

Aah, but they used the wrong buckle.

HA! You're right. But I think they got the colors more "right". That was the only reason I hadn't bought yours before...the colors seemed slightly "off". It's still an awesome strap though!

I want 18mm (like my Corvus)...but I'll probably get the 20mm.

I agree, the color should be more of an olive than green.

I just got a couple of the new ones from Broadarrow, but without the cloth keeper. Pretty nice, but they are a bit thinner than the orange, black, or other mil spec MARATAC NATOs. Pretty nice strap though

IMHO it's the red that's off. Should be more of a maroon. But it's a great strap regardless! At this point we're splitting hairs! ;)

Don't think it's a NATO w/o the keeper strap. Like the bind look! Or "spy movie from the 60 s" as they say. Worry about lawsuits much? I wonder how the quality stacks up with the Corvis bond strap?

Quality doesn't even compare. MARATAC is far superior.

Well some of the best and good quality Bond nato straps I have seen are from Eddie Platts at Timefactors.

Not trying to bomb the thread. I just thought about how the people in costume working on the film probably just found the first strap they could find off a crappy watch and slapped it on the Sub.

40 years later we're still trying to emulate it LOL

Awwww, hell, now I've got the same problem with my Long Haired General!

I talked you into the Corvus and I think you've just talked me into this one!

Let's just hope they are so similar that the little ladies don't notice that we have two Bond straps and decide to tear us a new one!
