I'm always on the lookout for my next watch. There are still dozens of watches I needed to own and wear before I go. Since I only like to keep 4-5 at a time, that means constantly selling/trading/buying.

I am constantly looking for my next watch, sometimes I like my next one more than the one's I have so some have to go. It's a sickness I know There's too many models to try and have before I cash in my chips IMHO |

I was always on the look out for the perfect watch for ME and was not satisfied until I found it. Now that I have it, I am content for the first time in this crazy watch journey.

Cheryl Crow of all people has a lyric that applies: "It's not about getting what you want, it's about wanting what you've got."
If you can't be happy with what you have, you won't be happy with whatever you get. This being said, I'm happy with my 3 "good" watches, but still think about an AP ROO Diver and a BP 50F. |

i'd never be happy selling or swaping. adding a few pieces would be different though.

I think that's the enjoyment I get from collecting, I love the hunt. The only time I'll consider my collection complete is probably when I've become bored with the hunt.

I'm most happy when I disconnect from the constant drumbeat of "something better's out there!" The forums (not only for watches) really distort the pleasure. They both increase your interest and at the same time destabilize one's own sense of what's great, I find. I have to take control to not be so swayed, and once I do, I realize I have wonderful things and had better be enjoying them. |

Admittedly, I am one who DOES enjoy the hunt and I get a rush when planning something watch-related, but I'm working on that (my husband hopes ). It's so easy to get caught up, especially reading about everyone else's pieces/experiences. At the end of the day, I realize I am VERY fortunate to have had the watches I have had, and the ones I currently have, and that they're still just 'watches'.....except they're so much more.... |

There is a bit of "thrill of the chase" that goes on when buying, selling, and trading. It is DEFINITELY an addiction. However, I can honestly say that I am quite content, and am not currently looking for anything. I am not sure that I will be looking for anything anytime soon.

I'm very happy with my two Rolexes and Speedy Pro, plus an assortment of "lesser" watches. Does that mean I'm done aquiring? Of course not. I'm always looking for the next great piece. That's the fun of this hobby.

Yah, I'm always selling and buying. That's a big part of the fun for me. Love the chase almost as much as I love the watch itself. Although if I had all of my favorites in one place I wonder if the madness would stop...probably not.

My collection is long term so yes. I have not traded in two years. Gave away two watches at Christmas & sold two this year. I do hope to buy one before years end.
