I have a slightly smaller wrist than you and the explorer II fits perfectly.

Stickers still on the dial

Hi you can use the jubilee bracelet from gmt model. Reference is 62510H with 502T end link and last link attach to end link should marked with 50. I suppose yours is non lug hole.

Been thinking about getting a white dial 216570, but then it's a tool watch and as such I'd rather go for the most expensive G-Shock MR-G.

Too each their own.

I really hope they do something. A Matt black Bezel could look great, but I think it would be a real betrayal to the the original 1655's steel bezel. In my opinion the brushed steel Bezel is unique in the Rollie lineup.
The Current 216570 looks good, but needs something for 2018.

The Explorer II is not for everybody, I bought mine because I like it. I am even thinking of buying the black dial addition because the watch is that good. I’ve always been a person who goes against the crowd. 42mm, with the Maxi dial, and the orange colored hand is hard to beat.

100% agree. I've had the Polar for about a year now and it gets the majority of the wrist time. Have been considering adding the black dial. Will definitely buy the black if Rolex releases a ceramic bezel at Basel.

I adore my Polar42. The fact that it’s one of the least popular Rolex models also gives me great personal satisfaction. I’d like to see a titanium polar42 at this years Basel. Never going to happed but a man can dream.

Jubilee ref 62510 with 502B (holes) or 502T (both holes/ no-holes) endlinks, or super jubilee 63200 or 63600, will all work with the explorer II.

I couldn't stand the 216570 for the longest time and then something changed. Love it.

I feel the same way except I have the black dial and would consider adding the white, but I do love orange accents and that might explain some of my affinity for this model

I love mine. One of the few white dial tool watches you can get from Rolex and it flies under the radar compared to the rest of the lineup. It's also definitely my most comfortable watch.

I wore a polar Explorer II 40mm for almost 20 years--as of now, it’s the most satisfying watch I’ve ever owned.

I like that it’s unconventional for a Rolex and not popular--the Sub has been so widely copied that much of the world probably thinks it’s a Seiko.

White dials also just seem right.

I think its one of the best.

I had a black Explorer ll that I traded on a DSSD, mistake. I now have a Polar white and its my go to most days because of how it wears, perfect. It is so different than my subs and the new Daytona I just acquired. Sometimes I think its nuts to have all these but they wear so different that it makes perfect sense, just my opinion.

What is your dressy piece? The Daytona or the polar?

I stand corrected - today I saw my first Explorer II Polar ad in our local Vancouver newspaper (and on a polar day)

My wife finds my explorer II very feminine. The ecru dial with white gold details must have something to do with it. Rolex probably changed the hands and surrounds to black for similar reasons.
I never even occurred to me that someone would see the early ivory dial explorers in that way.

Elegant yes, feminine no.
