Bluesy 16613 suitable for daily use?

Anyone wear their TT Sub daily? I feel with those gold PCL's shes gonna scratch up good.

I spend a lot of time in a suit however.

I used a 16613 (black dial) for 11 years daily and it looked great.... Keep in mind the watch took some serious use from me especially during my college years (gym, partying, hiking etc...)

So wear and enjoy!!

That is a perfect daily wearer! The combination of 18k and ss makes it very versatile.

Maybe slightly on the dressier side for me but I know many people who wear that exact watch day in and day out. My partner has one he got for a wedding anniversary many years ago. He wears it every day and it looks brand new.

I wore the same watch in black dial for 10 years as a daily. Serviced at about 5 years. It looked fine went I sent it in for service and came back looking new. Wore it another 5 years before trading for a TT GMTc which is now my daily wear. Sub looked fine after another 5 years and the GMT is holding up fine.

Enjoy that baby.

yes, of course.

for reference, here's a photo of a DJ with YG PCLs that i wore daily for eight years (yes, daily - it was my only watch). eventually, the little scratches blend into a fine haze. looks good, IMHO.

You seriously need to post some pictures!

To the topic:
I have a 116613 that has been used daily for 6 months, the gold got hairlines at an alarming rate in the begining but once you have gotten them It has faired very well. If you don't look up close it still almost looks brand new. It has been swimming in the ocean, seen time in the sauna, used skiing, sen quite alot of bars, gardening :)

I will go against the grain here and say no, not because of the PCLs but just the overall color I am not sure I could make it work in all situations. But that's just my personal view and clearly I am out of step with the consensus.

Absolutely! I have worn my 16613 and/or my 16803 pretty much daily for over 25 years. Still do. Their most common activities include work (no suits, thankfully), saltwater fishing, freshwater fishing, diving (not much anymore), camping, competition clay target sports and general daily wear. They are still in great shape. Prior to finding TRF last year, I did not worry so much about my watches. However, the knowledge gained here has far outweighed a little extra wrist "awareness".
Wear that beautiful watch every chance you get and enjoy!

The only person that will see/notice the PCL scratches would be you.

Many people live in their TT sub

Absolutely based on the assumption that your definition of daily wear is not extreme activities.

Mine has been a daily wearer for 8 years. I have tended bar, landscaped, and dived all over the place with this baby. A little polish and it looks great! The gold brings the blue out- if that makes sense.

I am a car salesman (which means banging my wrist on doors, hoods and trunk lids all day long and I only wear my Bluesy to work.

No. PCL wear and tear, and you mentioned wearing it often with a suit could be a problem. My subs (granted mine are the ceramic models) are too thick to be worn on the cuffs of my shirts.

I'd go so far as to say there isn't a Rolex made that's inappropriate for daily use. If you like it wear it; any of them.
