Yes, many ppl have commented that the Mark XVIII represents an attempt by IWC to finally get it right.

IWC Mark XVIII Le Petit Prince

I was all set to preorder one of these till I tried on the Le Petit Big Pilot at the preview. Doh!
I've decided to save my pennies...

They both gorgeous watches though, congratulations!

Thanks I do agree that the blue dial looks better than the black one....more classy.

My pleasure Also, would you mind sharing a few more wrist shots please when you get a chance?

It's on my potential short list and I would love to hear your thoughts on how it wears after a few days or weeks

I prefer the blue dial too and how it changes in different light, although I think it would have been better if the date wheel was blue to match the dial rather than white. I like how the black dial has the matching date wheel.

No problem. I will take more wrist shots, especially when I am out in the sun

I actually change the strap and buckle of the Le-Petit Prince. I got another alligator strap & buckle from IWC and replace the brown strap with the black strap so that I can play around with 2 straps in the future. Will definitely take a few shots too later on.

So far, it looks great and the blue dial is really striking! IMHO, the white dial actually provides a good contrast.

Thank you! I like the alligator strap - good choice

After reading a few more reviews and seeing a few pictures, I'm warming to the white date disc and blue dial combination...

previous ok too

Well, I've got to stick up for the mark xvii lpp. I love this watch, especially on the bracelet which is the best from a comfort and adjust-ability standpoint
