Thanks to all for your kind comments.

I was never a "DJ guy" in my 30's, but in my 40's it became a favorite. Sport watches are great for what they represent, Dress watches are perfect for those times when something a bit more formal is required.

Also, a Datejust can be dressed-down quite nicely on the right strap, can work on a casual Friday as a changeup with the only bit of bling being the bezel, it's actually not more garish than a GMT or a Sub when it's on leather. It's the Jubilee that turned me off years ago, I like it now, but there are alternatives that aren't so dressy.

Best of all, you can buy 3 vintage models for the cost of one Submariner, its fun to do the research and hunt down the different colors and configurations, they're everywhere, quite versatile.

You are 100% correct, what a beauty. Roman dial, fluted bezel and the amazing super jubilee is such a great combo!

Can't beat a classic Datejust

On my third DJ, all on the "correct" 36mm size 😉

M serial 116200 with concentric blue dial and awesome roulette date and super jubilee band😃

That DJ (white roman with jub, fluted) is amazing. I tried one on once and I honestly think I prefer it to my WG DD. I've contemplated dumping the DD for that DJ.

Wow that is really nice! Is that version available with PCLs? I am after a blue dial watch and that looks great!

Thanks
