Hi guys, don't know if it has been mentioned somewhere already.

I am new to the forum and am really interested to get white dial 116520 in the next couple of weeks.
By the looks of it, the prices are anywhere between 12k GBP and 13.5GBP (I live in the UK so am looking at the prices here).

Does anyone of you have any trustworthy jeweller or retailer with who I can get in touch and try to source on 116520?
I am specifically looking at 2013-2016 range, unworn, but looking to by it for myself and not as an investment.

I would appreciate any thoughts in PM or here.

Thanks!

The man lives in the UK (that little island 4500 miles to the North East of you) and we do not have trusted sellers.

If the OP sends me a pm ( I am in the little island called the UK), I may be able to give him some pointers.

Regards

Mick

Hello guys, made my way here to the Forum. I really like the Daytonas, specialy the 16520 more white then black.

Want I mean, are you really surprised that Prices are climbing that way? I liked them since years and was never on the Point to buy one, no, I cant stop so I have to pay the currant Prices, sorry, but thats normal.

It does not help me that the watches where 5-10$ years ago, now they are 15-20 and more for the really good ones. Thats normal, sorry, and the really good stuff was never cheap, and what is cheap? 5$ years ago, now 15$ and so on...

I wayted to long...

Gutted

I sold my 2001 full set, 16520 for £7000, not 18 months ago

But then I bought it so easily, with stickers still on, just 6 months prior to that

This game changes fast!!!!!

Found it:

Phillips has just announced that this spring it will host a thematic sale called "Daytona Ultimatum," focused exclusively on the well-known Rolex chronograph. The auction will take place in Geneva on May 12, 2018, and will offer "an extremely limited selection of the finest, rarest, and best-preserved Rolex Daytona wristwatches known to exist."

Bad luck mate - these things happen

That to me would have been a perfect watch - NOS / A or P serial with solid end links and a full set. I can see these selling for £30k by the end of the year.

Try and buy it back?

This thread is nearly 2 years old, and when I understand then the 16520 have nearly doubled in price, correct?

Have to say, for me the white 16520 Daytona is one of the best looking automatic sport watches ;-)

All Daytonas have seen a price surge upwards, particularly here in the UK, I bought my 2013 116520 white face in the summer of 2015 for more or less the current list price, at the time they had a Zenith in the window for £11000 versus £7700 for my one there is no way now I could consider paying the going rate for one. Times change and our situations also change, very happy with my collection and no plans on changing any of them anytime soon.
