Icon6 Root Beer 16713 dial dilemma

Hi Guys,

I shall be making a decision on one of two 16713s within the next few days -- but I am concerned about a potential dial issue and don't want to get myself a replaced dial or something.

The first comes with a leather band (which I don't want or need) and is $5500. The Dial is marked with 'Swiss Made' and is a darker Mahogany colour which I prefer. The bezel also seems to be a richer brown.

The second comes on an Oyster TT bracelet and is marked with the more familiar (to me) 'Swiss-T <25' and has the lighter, bronzier, colour dial. It is $5700. The bezel is lighter in colour and matches the dial.

Both watches are supposedly from '91; the latter is a ss#N19XXXX

I know that, investment wise, the latter is a better watch given the oyster bracelet -- but which ever watch I get will be going on a hand crafted leather nato which was made for me, and the darker colour, I think will go better with the watch (I have a Sub-C for dress purposes).

I have waded through the forum for data on this matter, but I can only find posts surrounding the date of the change from Nipple to the bigger posts and keen to receive council on this matter.

if both watches are from '91 then the dial should be marked T<25. So get the second one with the oyster bracelet. Cheers

Thanks Qwerty! When's the other ('Swiss Made') dated to? Do you know?

200 more for the band is a bargain if original. Buy the second one
