Good timing on this thread. I have been toying with the idea of a second watch, and it would be the Smurf. In the near future I will take the wife by the local AD to check it out.

Question to anyone: Does it still come in the flat blue as an option? I prefer that myself. Thanks.

I like the Smurf better of the two... Must see them in person for sure, I think the Smurf color looks better in person than pictures depict and the BLRO slightly worse (IMO). I personally was a tad underwhelmed with the Pepsi bezel especially.

Need help deciding!

Thanks.

Oh, it's going along a daytonaC white dial, and reverso if that effects your decision at all
My favorite in order

1. Smurf
2. Hulk
2. BLRO
3. BLNR

I'd go Smurf and Hulk actually to add some color to your collection. Unless you absolutely need a GMT function and in that case Hulk an BLRO. Good luck and either way will make a great collection!

My favorite color is blue, so it's smurf for a WG piece for me. I have a black dial SS that I love, (Exp II) so Hulk was my other choice. BLNR and black dial SuB are great pieces also!
Jeezz...the colors are quite ALIVE on these...:)
love the photos

BLRO will always claim be the more sought after watch...love them both...but sometimes think the Smurph is a bit 'loud' ... BLRO

I'd be on the fence. Head says smurf, heart says pepsi. I always prefer GMT's over the submariners, they look more balanced. However, i feel like the colors on the BLRO are just slightly dull. It needs to have that pop!

I prefer the BLRO because of the bi-color bezel and deep black dial.

I would have chosen the Sub because of the glide lock but it does not have a sunburst blue dial. Personally, I don't like the flat blue color of the Smurf. I always wondered why they have sunburst on TT and YG but not on WG.

Yes, fortunately for you that's the Only dial color choice for the Smurf. However, you can upgrade to the diamond dial...

I like the Maxi dial...
