If you were going to the beach on a family vacation would you wear a Sub or BLNR?
I'm curious to those that own both Sub and GMT if you were taking a family vacation to the beach, what watch would you wear? The Sub seems like the obvious choice but does the 100WR of the BLNR really effect you swimming in the surf or pool with your family?? So what watch goes with you???? Sub could include SS, TT, or PM.

I take my BLNR since I rarely go more than 3 meters under the water.

Depends which sub , but it really shouldn't matter as
all Rolex sport watches are robust . That being said, one should use common sense ... I have both the BLNR and Bluesy Sub C. I'd probably take my Sub as Blue dials and Sunshine are a perfect fit... Hand in glove if you will ...

The beach is no place for PCL's and next to the Explorer a Sub is a perfect all around vacation Rolex IMO.

The only watch that goes with me to the beach is a brushed steel Mondaine on nato.
Waterproofness at shore isn't going to be an issue on really any modern Rolex (sans Celini) just looking at the sand will give any polished surface some really nasty hairline scratches which for me is a pain. |

Water is not the issue it would be the sand PCL's probably won't fair as well as brushed but hey it is a watch you can wear pretty much anywhere.

I would not wear a luxury watch or any kind of jewelry at the beach. A cheap water resistant watch will do.

I am going to Hawaii in May and will be wearing my Sub 114060 the whole time. For some reason on vacation, I tend to never take my watch off even when I sleep.
