Interesting pieces.

No date options have been scarce in e line up and a top of the line diver for them seems to make great sense as so many have began their watch journey with a seiko diver.

cool, will take getting used to.

The mismatched text always was a little weird, but I also always thought the Gothic font was a weird choice for a Japanese watch.

The bottom pic, is that a regular production now, or has it changed in any other way from the old LE?

This is from Grand Seiko - "All previous GS models will be discontinued in April 2017. The new models will begin to replace the old ones as they come in. The styles with the SEIKO logo at 12:00 will sell through until the new stock replaces. Essentially model numbers will remain the same, +200. Example being the Snowflake SBGA011, now SBGA211.
No other design changes will occur except a few minor ones like the mentioned changing to 1 font for technical description. Also, the chronographs will all have logo placement at 11:00 instead of 12:00. Models like SBGE005 and 011 will have a longer 6:00 index to accommodate the empty space, but that is really about it. "

Waiting to see new version of Snowflake - SBGA211 now.

Not really loving the new logo. The logo *GS* should have been bottom side and gives the dial balance well, now it looks all empty at the bottom.

The SBGH257 is a Royal Deep Sea Oak. At 46mm is probably enormous but I kind of dig the design.

The SBGR305 looks very sweat.

The dials look better now that they have dropped the conflicting scripts.

Why has the Platinum SBGW251 a better accuracy than the gold and steel models?

Don't they have the same movement?

Keeping mine!

But the new ones do look hot. I prefer the new dial layout. Well done, GS!

Finally! Love the decision, even though I'm delighted to own a pre-2017 GS and will now keep it permanently.

Honestly..I would have liked the name Grand Seiko on the top side and GS logo on the bottom. Gives the perfect balance to the dial. Something like below pic.

NOTE: This a mockup and not real model!

I agree Maxy, I do like it the way you have it with the Grand Seiko on top and GS below. Better balanced.

Best comparison: Old model vs new model..same watch

Below SBGH001 (right) will become SBGH201 (left).

I think it is a very smart marketing move on their part.
It will help break peoples conceptions of "Seiko" that cheap watch brand when they see a Grand Seiko.

That Diver is pretty Hot!

Can't wait for the GS Boutique in London this year. Will be so good to see them all in the flesh before making a decision.
