First Rolex - GMT II Batman
Hi,
I've been reading this forum for some time now and am ready to . I've settled on the GMT Batman. Just love the bezel! Have seen £7-7.5k offers online/second hand (unworn), do you guys think it's worth paying the premium to get it now? Seems like a lot of ADs have closed waiting lists already. I'm buying for occasional wear, with the view that if I ever need to sell it, (raising funds for house deposit etc) it'll keep most the value. Interested to know ppls thoughts, thanks, T |

Welcome,
Unworn ones in the UK I'm seeing £7.5-8k....in fact as per other threads, I recently saw £8,995. Only you will know if it's worth it, but unless you have a good relationship with an AD you will likely struggle to get one at £6,550 list. However why not travel around some ADs with the cash and try and find one at an AD. I'd personally rather put the leg work in and get a brand new one from an AD than take a risk and still pay over list for it. Good luck |

The BLNR is a really nice everyday watch. I don't think you can go wrong for your first Rolex purchase.

What Nairn said. Put your name down on the list with your local AD.

Thanks guys, been ringing/emailing round ADs all of today, little success so far, but guess just keep trying. Seems like most places just want name/address/number and they just build up huge lists, would have thought for something so sought after there would be option to put down a deposit to avoid most of the wait.
More than happy to travel Nairn, based in London so appreciate I'm not in the best spot for availability.... good advice on not paying over, just wanted a sanity check! jazznpool, it is a very nice watch, wanted to save (hope for..) a daytona purchase for a later date, feels like GMT gets you a lot of watch for the money. |

Nice one mate, how did you get it? I've been on the same quest and managed to find only one LN GMT.
Did you pay the the normal price or buy from the secondary market. Despite really wa ting the BLNR I settled for the LN and really like it. I now quite fancy a a Pepsi or Coke older model. |

Yeah managed to get RRP, from an AD, put down a 25% deposit, so avoided the time wasters on the waiting list. Was surprised when I got the call last week! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

A deposit can put people off, but it flushes out the time wasters. Congrats |
