Share your unpopular Rolex opinion(s).

Just for a bit of fun. I'll start off, but with 2 actually.

1. I don't think the Submariner is a great looking watch (my Dad thinks I'm mad)

2. I don't think the Daytona is a great looking watch (my brother thinks I'm mad)

In fact the pair of them can't fathom my thought process, but it is what it is, haha.

I think that the Cellini Danaos is one of the most beautiful Rolex models.

Few modern Rolexes cause me to get excited. I generally like the older ones (four and five digit models) better.

Also the new Sea Dweller should be renamed the Sub Dweller!!!

The Hamilton Khaki Field Auto 38mm is 70% as beautiful as a 39mm Explorer for 7% of the cost.

Even though I know quite a bit about watches (now) the Submariner is still my favorite Rolex (that is until I get my hands on a Daytona, then who knows.)

Ahem, IMHO Rolex should officially rename the Submariner to something like:

No Date Sub, or Submariner ND, or SubC ND

This will keep so many people from being wrong all the time...might help their self esteem or something. lol

I have no use for any kind of watches oriented for use in the deep sea! I hate thick, blocky and too large for my wrist watches! No interest in anything Tudor.
There I said it.

I think the solid gold GMT with the Green dial is ugly.
I dont care for the BLNR. Looks cartoonish, almost like a litte kid that is trying to hard.

While I am sure these opinion are not popular with many, they relate to personal taste and preference which we all have. I have a TT Bluesy, I have buddy who hates two tone, tells me it looks like bunch of gold teeth on my wrist! Were all different, thats what makes this hobby fun!

Polar Explorer II looks like a kid's toy. Also, I dislike all modern Daytonas.

Rolex makes one watch. Just depends on what size you want your oyster case to be and if you want a rotating bezel. The rest is almost all interchangeable.

An update to the box would be nice.

I really, really hope the Cellini line does well.

I think the super cased sport models are a blocky mess and scream "Hey look at me and my big fat Rolex".

They just try way too hard.

The DSSD is a different animal, of course.

So the most super case, gigantic and blocky of all Rolex sport models is somehow excluded form this designation. I love it!

People ask if it is real.

People think Rolex is very expensive and cost like like .. $3000.

Rolex makes good mid-priced watches, and they aren't "the best"

I know it doesn't make any sense but for some reason the DSSD is just fantastic in my eyes. It's not trying too hard because it is the Beast. Unfortunately it's way too big for me.

Subs are boring (due to their popularity).

Also, the box is not fitting for a watch at the price range Rolex plays in.
