I leave my watches at home then it helps me get finished so I can shower and get it back on my wrist ASAP.

Just wear it for your workouts, I would never leave in my bag on a shelf with an expensive watch in it, or leave it in a locker, just wear it. If you are self conscious and don't want to appear to "show off" do what I do and put a wrist sweatband over it, nobody will notice it then.

I used to put my GMT in a locker with my padlock on it, one day I came back to my locker to change and noticed it had no lock on it. My heart sunk as I opened the door, to my surprise everything was there, I thought I must have forgot to lock it.
I was getting changed and noticed someone had stolen my jeans! I was gutted as my jeans had my wallet (with driving licence showing my home address), car key, house key and money. Thankfully they missed my Rolex sitting at the back of the locker!! Happy days I thought until I got the bills in for new locks to the car (£1200) and flat keys. Now I never take my watch to the gym it stays at home getting fatter. |

Leaving watches at home isn't really an option for me given I work out on my way to work. I feel secure enough with my locker routine.

In a casebudi in my gym bag in a locker.
I often see people working out in decent watches - subs are quite frequently spotted but last week I saw someone lifting weights wearing a PP Aquanaut and another bloke bench pressing wearing a SS Royal Oak! Mind you, my gym is in the office and I work in a bank, so it must be the equivalent of wearing a G Shock to some of these guys! Sadly, that's not the case for me... I hide it in my car. Maybe under my seat or some senaky place. If someone brakes into your car, it doesnt matter your briefcase is locked, theire gonna take the whole thing.

My Rolex was stolen from a locked gym locker - lock was a Master combo. Bolt cutters used on several locks one afternoon years ago and several members lost fine watches.
Since then I wear it and like rubber dumb bells. Is that douchey? Maybe but I workout during lunch so no safe place but on wrist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I just wear my Rolex for whatever I am doing during the day including gym visits 3x week.
At the gym I put my wallet/keys in my pants pocket so there's nothing valuable in my bag which I leave in the unlocked lockers there. I use the timing bezel a lot on a Rolex. |

If you refer to your watch during your workout, buy a workout watch. Maybe a gshock or a smart watch with sensors. If you don't refer to it, then don't even bring it.

I wear my watch at the gym and in the pool and in the ocean.
That's what I bought it for. |

I wear mine to the gym all the time. I'd have to be pretty reckless to damage it. Never had an issue.

My gym has lockers, I have a big padlock, and I still wouldn't risk leaving something as expensive as a Rolex in there!

I started collecting a novelty watch, with an eye towards making a display in my study. I wear one of those on gym days- I would hate for one to be stolen, but it's less likely (the base Watch is a Quartz Fossil and the like), the financial loss would be much less, and I get a practical use from them.

This is part of the reason I just use a RubberB. Bracelets can be great, but there are occasions, particularly when sporting, when rubber works so much better, so I just leave my RubberB on and wear my watch quite literally doing everything.
An Exp II on rubber essentially is a G-Shock, as far as I'm concerned. Plus, it's about as stealth as a Rolex gets. The only time anyone has ever commented on this watch was when they asked me about...the rubber strap. |

I would not even want to wear a watch during crossfit. Steel things can get stuck or bang onto something. It is a silly idea to wear a Rolex to a crossfit gym. I would leave it in the car or in my shoe.

I understand why some guys have a nice watch on after work at the gym, but it doesn't absolve them. I cannot possibly think of a more turdish looking thing than to wear a nice watch at the gym. I mean, I feel like a clown wearing my watch to the pool (although I still do it). I wouldn't be caught dead wearing it at the gym. |

FITBIT is it........Maybe Apple/Nike smart watch will do as well. Cheers! |

I don't get it. You own a watch that's specifically designed to take far more abuse than your own body can. Don't worry about it. I don't think anyone has even noticed my Explorer at the gym. Wear it! Unless you're going to your prison gym... wear it!
