I put mine in a green velvet Rolex factory pouch and lock it in the office at work.
Always worried about smashing it or dinging it on something while I work out.
If it is my Black Bay, I will leave it on the wrist on a nato strap sometimes.
Depends on the workout

The Sub stays on my wrist, all other watches have to wait in the car.

I put it in a large green bag marked R-O-L-E-X and leave it at the base of the first machine I work out on, along with my car keys, wallet and iPhone. At the end of my workout, after a leisurely steam, sauna, whirlpool and shower, I go back up to that first machine and pick up the bag.

I put mine in the locker. Then I lost my watch once. So never again.

I wear it all the time. Don't want to lose it to theft

I vote either wear it or don't even bring it to the gym. I would never leave it in a locker. Works every time until it doesn't. Opportunistic thieves exist, accept it. I've taken to just wearing my Explorer II when I go to the gym - it's a sports watch after all isn't it?! Get it all dirty and take it in the shower afterwards, good as new. Just make sure the crown is screwed down and go about your day.

Three days a week I wear my Explorer 39mm to the gym & into the shower, but reluctantly not into the steam room/sauna, when I leave it in my shoe in the locker, which I hate doing.
One day I will pluck up courage and wear it!
Some people say that wearing a Rolex in the gym is like wearing Lycra shorts or similar. I couldn't care less what people think! I do what I want to do!

I wore my TT DJ every day for 30+ years, including going from the office to the gym to work out and usually finished up with a steam/sauna/whirlpool and shower. My watch has been fine, and until joining TRF 6 months ago, thought I lived a reasonably well adjusted life.

Crossfit type gyms are unique because of the culture I believe - everyone seems to know each other, etc. There are no lockers at mine either. Rather there are shelves, cubbies, tables in the open. People leave their phones, wallets out in the open without worry...

I wear mine. I use my bezel as a set counter since I tend to always forget/second guess myself when I do my final set.

I've seen people at the gym wearing subs before. I tend to steer clear of wearing anything because I find it hurts my wrist. I can't imagine it's bad for the watch though if you do wear it

Never trust those lockers in gyms master keys are readily available likewise for those safes you get in hotel rooms. I only use gyms when staying at hotels and always wear mine for jogging, swimming etc. Its a Rolex it can take it that's what Paraflex was invented for.
if I do leave mine in the car I tend to slide it under the floor mat glove box is too obvious.

I usually leave my Rolex at home stored away in the WatchPod case. No way I will take the chance leaving it in a public locker!!!

This is the WatchPod: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XJPVH7N

Haven't been going lately, but wore my S&G Datejust to the gym for years with no problems. Just moved on to a YG Day-Date and I'm rethinking it ...

My wife had a brand new lady DJ stolen from the gym locker 20 years ago. Insurance replaced it. Lesson learned, no nice stuff at the gym.

I always take mine off.. I can't see any positive reason for wearing it, only negatives.

Having said that, there is one guy who wears a DDII and lifts heavy. it looks somewhat normal on him, but I keep thinking about how easy it would be to put a gash in it.

If you dont feel safe leaving it in a shelf or even leaving it at home consider getting a fitness watch like the Apple watch?

I give it to my personal trainer to wear while I work out. She is 5'2" 100 pounds of pure muscle.

Her wrist is half the size of mine. So, to see a DSSD hanging from her arm is hilarious
