Conclusion to the brushing debacle. Messed up by an Indy, saved by RSC SF. Thanks to Giovanni and his team.

That looks much better! I assume somebody at your Indy took it upon themselves to redo your LV's brushed finish. Glad it got fixed right. Cheers!

I got it back from the first place, got my refund and took the 15 minute trip to RSC SF and dropped it off, which is what I should have done to begin with.

Lesson learned

Saved by RSC

My very first experience with Giovanni was when I brought him a pre-owned watch, fully expecting that it would need service as it wasn't keeping time. He took it to the back and a few minutes later emerged to tell me that the movement was fine, and that all the watch needed was a simple regulation. He could have easily billed me for more by taking the watch in for a full service, but instead he offered to remedy my problem for a fraction of the cost... for the sake of doing the right thing.

That experience stuck with me and I now only take my watches to Giovanni and crew at RSC SF. They're consummate pros who ooze integrity. I'd recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Had a similar experience in Sydney RSC. Quick regulation, no service needed and here is a free Rolex magazine.
Top notch service and attitude.

Looks great. How long did it take the RSC to re-brush the bracelet?

Yes you did. Talk about amateur hour on the indy's part. By the way, who did you use so others don't deal with the same issue?
Now, it looks like it should. Kudos to RSC.

I live in the Sacramento region, a couple hours from SF but I'm happy to go RSC SF for even minor adjustments. I trust RSC SF to do the right thing the first time. Not so much my local AD.

ABC and LA Watch Works consistently put out watches that vastly exceed anything an RSC could do. Giovanni's shop (the subject of this thread) isn't even an RSC itself. It's owned by Giovanni, not RUSA, hence it's not exactly "not independent". They do great work in SF.
