Pepsi back from RSC!

After 7 weeks away for service, I'm very happy to have the Pepsi back on my wrist this morning. What a stunning watch...

A regular service, with every basic things covered. I bought the watch from the original owner, who bought it in 2000; it was never serviced so I believe now was a good time to do it. Cristal was fine so it wasn't changed, and I also kept the original insert, which looks great. It was lightly polished because one of the lugs was scratched from an insert change by the previous owner.

Looks beautiful!!

I have always wondered if Rolex has a stockpile of new old stock inserts or if they are still actually produced new one and put into stock?

Wonder if there will ever be a time when someone takes a bezel insert feature model in for service and an insert replacement isnt offered/performed becuase they simply just do not produce them anymore. Unlikely for many many years I'm sure, but maybe a time will come...?

Did the same thing when I bought my Pepsi (originally a Coke) secondhand a couple years ago. Off to RSC, comes back like a brand new watch. Beautiful

Pepsi back from RSC!

Nice! Can I ask which RSC did the work?

I was going to service my D Serial, but the RSC advised me all looked ok inside - and to wait. Subsequently replaced a mainspring...but all else in fine order. I have it on a Jubilee for now.

It's a keeper!

Nice to finally read of someone who had a watch polished and is happy with the results!

Watch looks great, have one on now also since it's been awhile since I had blro wrist time...can't figure out why I waited so long. The 16710 is going down as one of the most iconic in Rolex history imo.

Congrats and it looks beautiful. The scratch at 5 isn't bad at all. I just got my 2004 16710 a couple of months ago and per the seller and the look of the watch it's never had a polish. It has a good amount of scratches and a couple of small dings but I'm still debating on if I should get a light polish or not when I do send it in to get serviced some day. It was serviced in December of last year by ABC Watchworks and wasn't polished at all so I shouldn't need a service for another 5 years or so but I still wonder. I think I'll definitely have a light polish on the bracelet but still wondering if I should leave the case unpolished.

Anyway the 16710 Pepsi is stunning, enjoy having it back!

Yes; I don't really understand the "Don't Polish " attitude . Depends who's doing it I guess. Rolex does it fine.

Agreed. If you got a door ding and scratches on your car, and had the opportunity to get them fixed during an oil change, would you say no?

Beautiful watch!
