SubC on wrist after a couple weeks w/ Daytona C

Just putting on my LVC today after almost a couple weeks straight of wearing my new Ceramic Daytona.

As much as I love my Submariner, man... that Daytona is extreme comfort. I thought my 16710 was my most comfortable watch, but with just a little extra heft and perfect proportions the Daytona has to be my most comfortable watch! My sub can't compete in comfort, still my favorite though... for now.

That's all ;)

PICS!

I completely agree. The LV is a beautiful watch with a gorgeous dial, but comfort-wise, it cannot compete with the Daytona. (The sub is still a comfortable watch with the glidelock though)

But by giving up a little bit of comfort, you get an extra 200m of water resistance, so......

Nice pair! I have the same Daytona and very seriously considering picking up an LVc in the near future. Looks like they go well together...

LVc could give me periodic eletric shocks and I'd still wear it. It's just that good. :-)

Oh, and LVc and black DaytonaC is a really great pair....I'm half way there! Maybe some day. ;-)

200m? Not sure if that's enough got my bathtub and pool

Yes relatively speaking it's def a very comfortable watch. Glide lock system is amazing.

Fantastic pair Chadri,

I think it sounds like you could stay put with those two and never need anything else

Thank you guys! Jubilee vs Oyster is almost a toss up, but I'd give it to the oyster bracelet.

Jubilee is incredible and incredibly comfortable, but the PCL oyster bracelet just feels right, and as other have mentioned in the past the many links of the jubilee combined with the Sub dials of the Daytona can get slightly busy. It doesn't bother me but only in comparison to the oyster does it affect my feeling on it.

Really both are amazing.

Where did you source your super jubilee bracelet? I want to get one to put on my DaytonaC as well, but can't seem to find one readily available.

Had my eye on the classifieds here on TRF and one popped up. They come up now and again. I'll let you know if I ever decide to move mine. Thanks!

you like cars?

Couldn't agree more. I always knew this much about the daytona, but the size always held me back from a full embrace. I don't know if I've matured or my taste has changed, or both but sleek and low profile (both literally and figuratively) definitely get my excited about a watch these days.

Beautiful collection you have! While I think the Daytona looks best on the oyster it is a nice change up for the Daytona in addition to the GMT. Is it the green sunburst dial that makes the LV your favorite over the Daytona?

Stellar shots/collection Chadridv.

I completely agree with you though, the way the case design is on my Daytonas, Yachtmaster, and Day Date is far superior in comfort compared to the 6 digit maxi cases like my BLNR/LVC. This is why for a modern diver I'm such an advocate for the SD4k.....very curious as to how the new SD43 will wear despite the larger size.

I actually think if I woke up one day and someone swapped my LVC for a regular SubC Date, It would still be my favorite watch. I just can't say enough good things about the Submariner in general, but especially this modern 6 digit reference. I love the ceramic bezel, I (grew to) love the wide case lugs and the glidelock and bracelet are undeniable awesome and rarely receive argument as to the certainty that it's an upgrade.

The green dial and bezel, just make the watch a little more special to me. Something you don't see every day. The black submariner alone, is such a copied look, but the green is still relatively unique to Rolex. I really do love them both though.

I'm hoping I don't feel much for the SD43, as I'm really trying not to buy/sell/trade anymore watches, but from the pictures and videos I've seen the proportions look fantastic. wish there wasn't a cyclops though.
