16570 Polar help!!
I recently just picked this up as a filler watch until I was comfortable getting the watch that I've wanted for a long time--the Sub LV. I got a pretty good deal on the polar and will be able to get at least what I paid. Well, my AD called me yesterday and offered me a incredible deal on the LV and I couldn't pass it up. Should I stick with my original plan and flip the Polar to help fund it? Or should I keep it? I had all intentions of parting with the Polar when I was ready to get the LV but the Polar hasn't left the wrist since I bought it 3 weeks ago. Current lineup is a titanium Panerai, Sub 168000, BLNR, Polar, and finally the LV. Before anyone suggests it, the Panerai and 168000 are not going anywhere due to sentimental purposes. Thanks in advanced!

If you don't need the money to purchase the Sub keep the Exp II Polar, at least for a while. You may find it's wrist time limited with the new arrival which will then make the decision easier.
Alternatively, if you sell it now, you may regret it. |

If you're able to keep it and still make the other purchase then I'd keep it for a bit. You can always flip it later.

I have both, the polar fits me better, but my 16610lv looks 10 times better.

If LV is ceramic, I say trade in explorer, bracelet and lume will let you down in comparison to ceramic. If 5 digits are your thing maybe keep both as they are different enough to both deserve a spot in the rotation. IMO sub is better looking in both generations.

Thanks. I should have specified--it is the ceramic LV that I purchased. The white dial and GMT function is what I love about the Polar. I seem to change my mind about every hour on whether to keep it or not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I love the Polar but submariner life. Get the sub whether you keep or not. Flip if you need to.

I would keep the polar, but then again I just picked one up recently and it hasn't left the wrist. You can always flip it later down the road

I traded a polar 16570 for an LVc, but I had to for financial reasons (and I would make the trade again - love the LVc). If you don't have to flip, keep the watch, it's a great reference.

I'd keep the Exp II...then again, I have one on my wrist so I'm biased.
As others have said, if you have the mans buy the LV and keep the 16570. You can always flip one or both later if you have a quick cash need. |

The 5 digit polar has been always been a watch on my wish list. I have bought a bunch of other watches during that time, but I keep coming back to lusting over it. Keep it.

If no financial concern, keep the 16570. Makes for a great duo.
