16600 or 16610lv
Looking to add to my collection and will be choosing either a sea dweller 16600 from 2000 for £5500 or sub 10610lv from 2008 for £7500 the dealer I purchase from has both available and both are full sets. Really cannot decide which one to buy what would you choose and why?

Prices seem high for both pieces.....I personally wouldn't pay that much for a late 16610lv (that pricing ballpark for me would be reserved for F/Y serial early mk 1s).....for that $$ on the 16600 I'd be looking @ a 116600.....push comes to shove I guess the 16600 would be the pick for me.

16610LV. It has maxi dial and maxi hands. The dial is de facto also larger in diameter than the 16600, which is more the same size as a 14060. You can add a black insert if you choose to the 16610LV. You can't do it the other way around with the 16600, so your options are more limited.

I have both. I wear the 16600 more. It's taller, doesn't play nice with a tight cuff, and would make a worse "one watch". However, it's just so damn cool.

I wouldn't pay 7.5K for a 16610LV that's for sure. Not for that year anyway.

I have both but selling my pristine LV because the value has gone up so much I decided I didn't want to wear it. The 16600 is so under-rated and a value proposition.

Had contemplated a similar either or, I owned both and both gone. I miss the LV at times.
Between the two I would choose the Lv But If you like the sea dweller I would absolutely choose the current/discontinued 116600. The satin dial and the relatively short production. Go with the 116600 for the win.

16610lv here but really both are great. Don't over think it, just get the one that you like the best.

For me, i think better get the 16610LV since its rarer than 16600. And if budget allows to get another one someday then its 16600.

Looks like it will be the Lv subject to condition etc, I know what you mean about the price but they are so varied. Just hoping it's irrelevant as they are not going to get any less

...I bought a brand new lv d series in 2005 for £2650 and last month the lvc for £6600. in all honesty at the prices quoted above I would definitely be buying the new variations. But if your heart is set on 5 digit reference then get the one which is in better condition. Good luck with either one!
