I own all three, and my vote goes to 5712.

I’d vote 5712 as well. The case dimensions and thinness of the 5711 and 5712 are perfect for me.

I actually think the 5712a is the best Nautilus overall...with the 5740g as a close second. I'd take a 5726a over a 5711a also watch for watch...but can't deny the heritage and FOMO factor 5711a carries.

I will wait for the new 6711, or keep the 5711 if the 6711 is not to my taste.

As much as I like the symmetry of the 5726, it’s the 5712 for me.

It’s gotta be between the 5726 and the 5712.
I had a choice between many of the Nautilus models but I went to the 5712 as my only one. Wouldn’t think twice if I were to choose once again

The 5712/1A is now the closest descendant of the original 3700 with respect to dial colour, proportions and material. The 5740 is similar proportions, but not in steel. The blue 5726/1A has similar dial colour but has much different more hefty proportions.
I had the choice of getting a grey dial 5726/1A or a 5712/1A at retail (this was some years ago!). Deliberated quite a lot over what to choose and went with the 5712/1A due to proportions, the legendary micro rotor 240 movement and the amazing blue-grey dial colour. Today I would chose the 5712 in a heart beat over any other Nautilus in the colection with the 5740/1G being a close second (but part of me still feel a Nautilus should be in steel, at least if you just have one in your collection). |

When I had both 5711 and 5712, 5712 had much more time on my wrist because the dial is more interesting. So I would vote for 5712 for its dial and ultra-thinness.

Since I have the 5711, I’d have to go with the 5990. It’s a completely different Nautilus with a heft that’s just right, in my opinion. However, if I didn’t have the 5711, maybe I’d go with the 5712.

I was giving this quite some thought and have finally concluded meh give me a 15202st and I'm happy. The nautilus really doesn't do it for me anymore.

I had a 5712. Have to be honest I just didn’t love it at all. The face was nowhere near as blue as it looks in photos, and for my taste it was just too thin.
Also I was hugely disappointed with the clasp quality. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great watch. Just didn’t do it for me. I have a 5726 on leather and actually prefer it as I can rotate with my AP 15202 Jumbo for a different look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

5712 for the overall watch profile (thin, close resemblance to the original) and incredibly captivating asymmetric dial. It make you look at it more and more. While I do like the 5726, I think the grey dial with that silver ring looked better than the current blue dial.
Over time, add the 5990 because it's just an awesome watch - beautiful, symmetric dial, and useful complications. This can easily be the ONE watch in your collection :) |

5712 by a country mile. I love then asymmetrical dial and the functions are exactly what I like on a watch. I have a 5711, but would purchase a 5712 at retail in a heartbeat. The 5990 and 5726 are very nice, but don’t speak to me the way then 5712 does.
