That’s a pdf and not an image.

Just post an image so people don’t have to open / download a potentially questionable file.
It should be a mk2 long 5.

For those scared of pdf files, here is a jpg, converted, resized, virus scanned and guaranteed safe for kittens, nuns, nuns carrying boxes of kittens, etc.

Funny you think AV works, even if it did not everyone here runs it. Several here have had their accounts popped from downloading files and jumping to outside links.

I appreciate the photo though.

And that’s a mk3.3, so about 10 years off. Nice insert but not period correct.

Mine definitely works. It is an ESET product and in conjunction with other malware detection products there is very little chance of any Trojans, malware, PUAs, PUPs or any other infections.

You won't get the same results with McAfee, AVG or any of the others typically bundled with new computers but the professional level AV products can be very effective and surprisingly good value for money

It’s interesting the number of incidents to which we’ve responded with fully patched endpoints and million dollar endpoint/network/email protection solutions in place. In real testing most are about 30% effective unless you read marketing material. AV is good for auditors, not real problem sets.

Your experience is based on the number of incidents, mine is based on a ratio of the number of successful attacks versus the number of attempts. In that scenario, with the systems I work with, the effectiveness is around 80 to 85%, with a general trend towards increasing effectiveness year by year.

I've seen studies with numbers similar to yours, but they have always had significant statistical errors and I believe the real life numbers for a good AV system in conjunction with other programs are a lot higher than the often quoted 25 to 30%.

Viruses aside, it's much easier for me to answer questions if the photos are included in the thread, and I rarely bother to click on links. As @stmoore indicated, the OP watch should have a long-5 Mk2, not a Mk3. The lower loop in the "5" should be elongated, rectangular not square.

It seems to have that nice grid texture. I had the impression that was a good sign.

X2. That waffle texture is usually seen on original tritium, although who knows what the bad guys can do nowadays. A UV photo could give some clues, but on the surface, I'd say that tritium looks good.

Here's my 5512 with not as much patina, but similar texture on the lume.

Aaron, What a great looking 5512!

(I'll have nightmares with your bezel's position)

Ha! Thanks. I often use the bezel as a date function, setting it to the corresponding minute-marker number. Must have been the 21st when I took that photo.

That is a cool idea, I have never thought to do that. I was too startled when I went to the top left to check out the 5 and a 3 was there haha. Great looking 5512.

As for the lume in question on the 5513 I think it looks good too.
