Great question. All I can figure is that Rolex created a fairly generic service insert to be used on all 1680 and 5513 models and may have been complicated to try and replicate various font sizes. At least they could have used a fatter font on this thing!

I've had two 1680s with the service insert and they do look nice and new, but once you find a matching original FF insert, it makes a HUGE difference. Then you dive into the juicy underworld of faded inserts and you will go crazy.

great purchase

I have a 5.4 mil it came on a folded 9315 bracelet with 380 end peices but there are alot of variants out there.

this insert to my knowledge is not a service insert..
there are inserts with father fonts but these are the realy early ones

to me this is already a fat font (the 4 is almost touching the 0
just my 2 cents
