Tudor 4453 year

I've got a Tudor 4453 with a black dial that I'm trying to date. There is no rose or shield and it sais Tudor Oyster and shock resisting around the sub dial. The serial number is five digits, 211xx. Any help would be really appreciated.

Cheers

Is the word Oyster above the word Tudor or below?

Could be a washed dial or a redial if there is no rose. Or maybe a really early one, pre-rose which I think was around 1945

Is it anything like this, with Tudor instead of Chester?

Tudor is above oyster and it has oyster patent crown. Watch face is black with white lettering,31mm, full lume. If I had to guess maybe Canadian military? Probably wrong. Yes, same case, serial placement and reference placement.

Try and post a pic if you can. The 4453 was available with Tudor and Oyster-only dials around (before and after) the launch of the Tudor Watch Co. in 1946. The inside caseback of yours will probably be stamped either Tudor or Oyster Watch Co. Both were made by Rolex anyway.

The one I've shown above is stamped Tudor on the inside, but is most likely pre-1946.

Not sure exactly. I estimate early to mid 1940s.

What do you think?

I've acquired a very similair watch recently with a different English city (Bristol.) It also has 4453 on the back as well. I don't know if these are only released in Canada or something but everytime i find one similair, it's in Canada. Let me know what you think!

The mystery of the early Tudors!

I have one that looks similar but has an all roman numeral dial with the same movement.

6 digit serial number and stamped 826!
