9.375 gold vintage buckle date ID
Hello.
I have a R.W.C buckle that is definitely vintage (family provenance), with a gold 9.375 mark and Edinburgh assay mark. I am struggling with finding an exact match for the marks after & establishing an exact date. I can't seem to find any other real gold examples of this clasp to compare, and none at all with the same markings. I'm assuming it's 40s /50s from the RWC rather than Rolex stamp use but I'd really appreciate any information. Would it be from a Tudor watch? Many thanks in advance! |

It's 9k which is 37.5% gold. Maybe something here... https://duckduckgo.com/?q=9+ct+gold+...ages&ia=images

Also, 9k was usual to the commowealth countries, Canada, UK, Australia, Botswana and was probably made under license by a third party.
